Nicole Gemmiti is an accomplished musician, producer, arranger, engineer, and social activist from Long Island, New York. She got her start as a musician when she began singing at the age of four, and discovered a passion for production at a young age while recording amateur covers of songs using only an iPhone and the GarageBand mobile app. In the summer of 2019, she completed a dual-degree program at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, which yielded Bachelor’s of Music degrees in both Music Production & Engineering and Contemporary Writing & Production.
Nicole has already had extensive real-world experience in her field. She’s completed two summer internships at two different professional recording studios in New York. During these internships, Nicole learned first-hand what it’s like to produce and record music in a professional environment. She was taught the ways of producing and recording by shadowing producers that have worked with artists such as Eminem, Public Enemy, and Chet Faker. Nicole firmly believes that these experiences are what solidified her conviction that she was meant to be a producer.
Nicole also has produced music for several of her peers in her spare time. She’s had experience collaborating with artists and songwriters of multiple genres and instrumentations with the sole purpose of taking a creative project from conception of ideas to a finished product, keeping in mind how crucial it is to stick to the artist’s creative vision for the work. She has recorded, arranged and produced for these many projects, and built up a respectable list of clients who have all been satisfied with the results of her work. These several projects are proof that Nicole is a dedicated producer who enjoys the work that she does, and knows how to listen to artists and songwriters in order to help them produce products that they can be proud of, and do justice to their respective creative visions.
In addition to her music career, social activism is also something that Nicole is very passionate about. She served as president of Berklee’s LGBT+ United club from Jan. 2017 to May 2019. The group hosted a variety of events to fundraise for local organizations, as well as shows that showcased LGBTQ+ artists on campus. She also has had the privilege of being a youth ambassador for the GLAAD organization from Oct. 2017 to Aug. 2019. Nicole worked with GLAAD to collaborate on media projects with the intent of writing about her own experiences and sharing them in order to promote acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community. She is determined in her activism and is committed to being the best advocate possible to fight for justice for any and all marginalized groups.
